Peace and Wisdom in the New Year!
A New Year’s Eve Celebration

December 31, 2024.
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
With Resident Teacher Kelsang Dechok

Enjoy a meaningful and festive New Year’s Eve celebration with a joyful community! Celebrate with compassion and beneficial intentions, while creating the causes for both inner and world peace.

We will gather to chant special prayers to White Tara, a female enlightened being who bestows long life, wisdom, and good fortune. It is said that living beings receive Tara’s help as swiftly as the wind moves because she is a manifestation of the wind element of all the Buddhas.

The event also includes a guided meditation and inspiring commentary.

This practice is a powerful way to help us create peace in our hearts and in the world, and bring power to our New Year’s resolutions. With a peaceful and compassionate mind, we can dedicate our energy for the welfare of the whole world.

After the chanted prayers we’ll enjoy delicious vegetarian hors d’oeuvres, dessert and nonalcoholic drinks.

Join us in ending one year and starting a new one with joy and meaning.

This event will be led by KMC Georgia’s Resident Teacher and American Buddhist nun, Kelsang Dechok.

Everyone welcome!
