Mindfulness is an important aspect of meditation. It is remembering to be present in the moment with a positive, virtuous intention. Training in mindfulness and meditation has become recognized as an effective means to reduce stress, improve our quality of life and develop inner peace.
In this workshop you will learn the foundations of training in mindfulness both in meditation and within daily life. We will explore simple techniques to master our thoughts and feelings. Through explanations and guided meditations, you will quickly learn the basics, and come away with the tools you need to start or enhance your own meditation practice and gain control of your mind.
This workshop is taught by American Buddhist monk and Resident Teacher of KMC GA, Gen Kelsang Mondrub.
