Regional and U.S. Celebrations
Regional Dharma Celebrations
These celebrations are like mini-festivals that bring local sangha together to receive an empowerment and teachings and connect with old and new friends in your region. Kadam Morten is the National Spiritual Director of the Eastern US and Resident Teacher at KMC NYC. He will grant the empowerments and give teachings at the Eastern US Dharma Celebrations. Gen Kelsang Rigpa is the National Spiritual Director of the Western US and Resident Teacher at KMC California and KMC Hollywood and will grant the empowerments and give teachings at the Western US Dharma Celebrations.
Each year around the world Kadampa Centers hold regional Dharma Celebrations, National Festivals and International Festivals. These Celebrations and Festivals are taught by National Spiritual Directors in various countries, the Deputy Spiritual Director, and Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition.
The Festivals include teachings and empowerments, reviews and meditations led by Senior NKT Teachers, chanted meditations and offering ceremonies, and retreats to consolidate and deepen your understanding and experience. They are a wonderful opportunity for people to get together with fellow practitioners to listen to teachings, practice meditation, and engage in discussion.
Open to everyone, these events are a wonderful opportunity to meet with Buddhist practitioners from all over the world and share experience and understanding with them.
The proceeds from these Dharma Celebrations and Festivals are donated to the International Temples Project.
