Meditation for Beginners
Half Day Retreat
with Resident Teacher, Kelsang Dechok
and Senior Student Teachers
Saturday, Feb 24 | 1:00–4:00 p.m.
This half-day meditation retreat will build the foundation for a strong meditation practice and nurture peace from within.Meditation is a proven, scientific method to calm our restless mind. Disturbed or anxious states of mind make it difficult–sometimes impossible–to be happy, even when we are living in the best conditions. When our mind is peaceful, we are free from worries and mental discomfort, and we can experience true happiness.
Modern Buddhist meditation offers a step-by-step method and clear techniques to build a successful practice. By consistently training in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a purer and purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.
Everyone is welcome!
