When life is stressful, it helps to have a quiet place for contemplation and relaxation. This class is the ideal opportunity to understand the beauty and power of setting up a Buddhist shrine in your home that help you focus your energy on a meaningful spiritual practice that truly makes a difference in your life.
In the first session, we explore the essential aspects of setting up our shrine, making offerings, and reciting prayers for meditation. These crucial elements of regular practice help us to experience the joy and purpose of meditation.
Session two is a workshop in which you make your own sacred mala in the traditional way. A mala is also sometimes referred to as a rosary or prayer beads. In this workshop, we also learn how to use the mala to connect personally with the inspiring, protective energy of Enlightened Beings, bringing it deeply into our heart.
A whole day of taking our spiritual life to a new level!
This event is hosted by KMC Georgia Teacher Heather McCalman and Mark Venable.
