Silence is Golden | ½ Day Meditation Retreat

Saturday, January 21 | 9am–12pm

Experience a half-day retreat of meditation and silent reflection. Guided by an experienced meditation Teacher, in the blessed and peace filled environment of the Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia and its beautiful meditation room. 

The morning will comprise three, thirty-minute guided loving-kindness meditations, with thirty minutes of silence in between each session to enjoy quiet reflection and let your mind go deeper into an experience of meaning and peace. The last half hour of the morning will be a discussion and question and answer session to help you consolidate what you would like to bring with you from the retreat into your daily life.

Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary.

9-9:30am: Meditation
10-10:30am: Meditation
11-11:30am: Meditation
11:30am-12pm: Q&A



About the Teacher

Kelsang Sherma has been ordained since 20 years. She has been teaching the meditation class in in Atlanta and Birmingham. Her practical experience of applying meditation to daily life is beautifully reflected in her teachings and meditation.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols
We care about your safety and well-being! 
Here is a list of COVID-19 prevention measures currently in place at KMC Georgia:

  • The City of Atlanta has a mask mandate in place, so everyone inside the building must wear a mask. If you don't have a mask with you, one will be provided at reception.  
  • We have a UV air purifier running at all times inside the main meditation room.All doors to the main meditation room will remain open during class to encourage air flow.
  • Chairs in the meditation rooms have signage to encourage social distancing.   If you don't feel comfortable sitting in the main meditation room, you may sit in the smaller meditation room or in the reception/cafe area, where we have a TV monitor link and audio. If you are in the café area, you may still watch the class through the open glass doors.
  • We offer hand sanitizer to all our guests and volunteers, and sanitize all high touch areas before every class.
