Join in this fun and meaningful experience...
A ‘torma’ is a special offering of food made in order to gain spiritual attainments. In modern days, they are made with marzipan and traditionally offered to the enlightened beings, Buddhas, in various ritual practices and prayers such as empowerments, retreats and chanted prayers.
Tormas are made at all Kadampa Centers worldwide. This is a useful skill to learn and use to help Dharma flourish!
The teacher for this course is experienced and qualified torma maker, Kelsang Gewang. Full instruction and practical demonstrations will be given, no experience is necessary.
The workshop will be informal, hands on, practical and a lot of fun. It is suitable for everyone, whether you are an experienced practitioner or a complete beginner. Learn about the various types of tormas and how to make them in a qualified manner according to the New Kadampa lineage.
Space is limited and pre-registration will be required to be assured we have appropriate supplies.
